Mahesh Avasare

Mahesh Avasare is an experienced product leader actively involved in the financial sector since 2012. Currently serving as Product Lead at MPOWER Financing since June 2023, Mahesh is focused on establishing a cross-border educational refinance business. Previously, as a Product Consultant at Vested Finance, a venture into foreign exchange for educational remittances was led. Mahesh co-founded Scholars Finance, creating financial support solutions for international students. Extensive experience as a Product Manager at InCred Financial Services included pioneering India's first online education loan journey and leading the product team to significant growth in loan volume. Additional roles at Housing.com, CEPSA, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory provided a broad base of skills in program management and research. Mahesh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
