Andy Oppong-Bawuah has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2001 as a TA at the University of North Texas. Throughout their career, they have held various roles such as Executive Principal Software Architect, Snr Principal Software Architect, President & CTO, Software Architect, Azure Tech Lead/Architect, Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, and Lead Software Developer. Their responsibilities have included technical implementation, code reviews, mentorship, driving agile methodology adoption, implementing workflow modules, creating development standards, and leading Agile teams.
Andy Oppong-Bawuah completed their education in a chronological order. Andy attended Prempeh College from 1986 to 1993, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Andy then enrolled at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geodetic Engineering from 1994 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geographic Information Systems at the University of North Texas from 2001 to 2003. Lastly, they attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 2006 to 2011, where they earned both an MS and an MBA in Information Systems.
