Emily Shields

Emily Shields currently serves as the Senior Vice President – Sustainability and Assistant General Counsel. Emily served previously as the company’s Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Officer leading corporate matters across areas of governance, business disputes and litigation, ethics and regulatory compliance, labor and employment, health, safety and environment, and the international legal group. Prior to joining MRC Global in 2013, Emily practiced litigation at the law firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius L.L.P. in Houston, Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Texas A&M University and received her juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Emily is on the board of the Association of Corporate Counsel - Houston Chapter.
