George Turanchik

George Turanchik is an accomplished IT executive with extensive experience in managing global IT operations, engineering, and security teams. Currently serving as Vice President and CIO at MRC Global since April 2020, George Turanchik previously held leadership roles at True Value Company as Senior Director of IT, Infrastructure & Security, and at Hospira as Director of Global Infrastructure Engineering and Operations, where responsibilities included overseeing operations supporting 18,000 employees across 120 locations. Earlier experience includes positions at Brightstar, RCG Information Technology, and SmartSignal, where George Turanchik led various IT strategy, product development, and service management initiatives. George Turanchik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University.
