Salinda Weerasekara

Salinda Weerasekara is an experienced Technical Internal Sales Representative at MRC Global since March 2022, specializing in liaising with oil & gas, mining, and industrial clients regarding PVF requirements and fabrication inquiries. Prior to this role, Salinda interned as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Integrated Energy Pty Ltd and COLOMBO DOCKYARD PLC, where contributions included promoting LEAN Manufacturing practices to boost production output. As a Research and Development Engineer at Flintec Transducers (Pvt) Ltd from May 2015 to June 2019, Salinda developed low-cost load cells, achieving significant cost reductions. Salinda holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Edith Cowan University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Education was completed at Mahinda College from 1995 to 2009.
