Chris Clymer began their career in 2001 as a Consultant/Contractor. In 2005, they took on the role of Network and System Administrator at NEO Digital. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as an IT Manager at Equity Consultants and a Senior Systems Administrator at Dun and Bradstreet. In 2007, they became a Senior Security Risk Analyst at National City Bank, where they were responsible for enterprise-wide security risk assessment, control assessment and design. In 2008, they moved to PNC Financial Services Group and held the same role. In 2009, they joined the Northeast Ohio Information Security Forum as a Board Member. In 2010, they became the Manager of the Advisory Services practice at SecureState. In 2014, they took on the role of Information Security Program Manager at Swagelok, where they were responsible for Security Strategy, Security Architecture, Awareness & Education, Security Operations, and Leadership of the Security Team. Finally, in 2015, they became the Director & CISO of Inversion6, a cybersecurity risk management provider.
Chris Clymer attended Youngstown State University from 1999 to 2004, studying Computer Science. Chris then attended Baldwin Wallace University, studying Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Chris holds certifications from (ISC)2 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), as a FAIR Analyst, from SANS GIAC as a GIAC Certified Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) and a SANS GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN), and from BSI as an ISO 27001 Provisional Auditor.
