Jim Kane

Jim Kane has extensive work experience in the software development industry, with a focus on Agile coaching and project management. Jim has worked in various roles and companies, starting with Findlay Irvine in 2016 as an Agile Process Lead, where they introduced Agile Scrum best practices and continuous integration strategies. Jim then worked as an Analyst Developer at Sitekit, where they implemented Agile Scrum and continuous integration strategies within an existing team.

Jim also worked as a Sharepoint Utility Developer at Lion and Gazelle and Heathrow Airport, and as a DevOps Analyst (Powershell Specialist) at Royal London, where they created standard PowerShell modules and implemented continuous integration processes.

At Sitekit, they served as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master, refining processes and enhancing internal development across multiple teams. Jim later joined Wallet.Services as a Scrum Master and Team Member, providing Agile coaching and facilitating stakeholder meetings to improve the delivery pipeline and increase product resiliency.

Jim's work experience also includes roles as an Agile Coach - supporting Agile BAs at Nagne, a Senior Software Analyst at Tindeco Financial Services, and as the Head of Software Development at Shot Scope. In these roles, they focused on improving software quality, increasing software releases, and ensuring customer satisfaction through user-centered development approaches and the implementation of Agile methodologies.

Jim Kane attended Edinburgh Napier University from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng. Hons) degree in Networking and Distributed Systems. In 2018, they also earned the certification of Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance. Additionally, they have completed various online courses, including "Flying Through Python" and "Shaping up with Angular.js" from Code School.
