Evan Simpson

Evan Simpson is a Full Stack Data Scientist at Mrs Wordsmith since December 2022, focusing on data analytics to enhance children's reading experiences through mobile games and website optimization. With a background in machine learning and natural language processing, Evan has also held roles such as Assistant Community Manager and member of AI Guild, and completed a Machine Learning Internship at MetaMetrics, Inc. Prior experience includes positions as a Data Scientist at Data Science Retreat, a Machine Learning Engineer at Omdena, and an Assessment Solutions Consultant at British Council, among others. Evan holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from the University of Arizona, a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Technology from Iowa State University, and a BA in English from Boise State University.
