Jim Holz

Client Service Manager, Market Lead at MSA

Jim serves as a client service manager and market lead for county and local government as well as private market clients in the state of Iowa. Located in our Dubuque office, he is also a certified planner and has been involved in all aspects of community development projects, including the conception, financing, grant administration and implementation of planning efforts.

His experience is evident in the variety of projects he has managed, including infrastructure, housing rehabilitation programs and downtown revitalization. As one example, he helped the City of Elgin, Iowa, secure more than $2 million for several required infrastructure projects that ranged from wastewater and water system improvements to reconstruction of a street and a wetland.

The Minneapolis, Minneapolis, native grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in geography and land use planning. He is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and has been involved in numerous civic and professional groups such as the American Planning Association, the Dubuque Housing Commission, Dubuque Main Street Design Committee, Dubuque Housing Trust Fund and the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce Business Advocacy Council.
