Jan-Olof Backman

Jan-Olof Backman is a Swedish business executive who has held various positions in a number of companies. Jan-Olof is currently the Director at MSAB.

Backman began their career in 1998 with Coor Service Management where they served as SVP Business Development. In 2010, they became Chairman of City Golf Europe and held that position until 2016. Also in 2010, they joined the board of Höga Kusten Flyg AB and became Chairman in 2013. Jan-Olof served in that role until 2016 when they became Executive Chairman of Next Jet.

In 2016, Backman also joined the board of Logent. Jan-Olof remained on the board until 2019 when they left to become Director at MSAB.

Jan-Olof Backman has a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Business Admin from the University of Washington, and a Civilingenjör degree in Väg och Vattenbyggnad from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
