Ashley Lester

Ashley Lester currently serves as the Chief Research Officer and Global Head of Research at MSCI Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this role, Ashley was with Schroders from July 2015 to May 2023, holding positions as Head of Systematic Investments and Global Head of Multi Asset Research. Ashley has also held senior roles at MSCI Inc. between October 2013 and July 2015, including Managing Director overseeing Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Class Research. Earlier experience includes serving as Managing Director, Head of Market Risk Research at Morgan Stanley from October 2007 to September 2013, and as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Brown University from June 2005 to September 2007. Additionally, Ashley worked as an Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia from January 1998 to June 2000. Educational credentials include a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Sydney.
