Jigar Thakkar

Jigar Thakkar currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Engineering at MSCI Inc., a position held since July 2018, where responsibility includes leading innovation and product development across engineering technology services and data science operations, particularly for investment products in Index, Analytics, ESG, and commercial Real Estate. Prior to MSCI Inc., a significant tenure at Microsoft spanned nearly two decades, including roles as Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business Engineering, as well as various leadership positions within Microsoft focusing on engineering management for applications like MSN, Bing, and Windows Mobile. Jigar began a career in technology as a Software Development Engineer at Intel and gained early experience through an internship at SGI. Jigar holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
