Hugo van Helden

Hugo van Helden is a seasoned professional in the field of quality control and analytical chemistry, currently serving as the QC Manager of lab support at MSD Animal Health Nederland since June 2025. Prior to this role, Hugo held the position of QC Manager at MSD Oss from April 2015 to June 2025 and served as a Senior Scientist in Quality Control from April 2013 to June 2015. Beginning a career in 1991 with Intervet at MSD AH Boxmeer as Lab Manager for the Releaselab, responsibilities included managing a group of 20 FTE, overseeing review and release of test results, and ensuring compliance with testing standards for raw materials and products. Hugo also has experience as an Analytical Lab Assistant, implementing Near-InfraRed Spectroscopy and developing new analytical methods. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry from HLO Fontys Venlo/Blerick, obtained between 1984 and 1989.
