Stefan Walter has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Stefan currently holds the position of Senior Vice President - Workforce & Competence Mgmt Platform at msg, where they are responsible for the further development of the msg ProfileMap team into an agile standard product organization. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Management Board at minnosphere, a company of msg, where they ran the operational business for company building, innovation management, and digital platform tools.
Stefan also has extensive experience at msg, where they held various senior vice president roles. Stefan was responsible for product management, digital platforms, and business development, focusing on business strategy, product innovation, and PoCs. Stefan has been involved in creating new business models for digital platforms within msg based on lean startup methodology. In addition, Stefan co-founded several white label platforms, including @DIPKO, #SmartFactoryPlatform, and #NGCI.
Before joining msg, Stefan worked at Plaut AG and Plaut Germany as a Business Unit Manager, specifically in areas related to SAP NetWeaver Development and Architecture, as well as SOA development. Stefan also worked as a Solution Architect at zetVisions AG, where they were responsible for management information system projects.
Stefan's earlier career includes founding and being the CEO of PartnerConsult, as well as holding positions in partner management and solution architecture at abaXX Technology AG. Stefan also has experience in product management and sales engineering at Merant/DataDirect and INTERSOLV GmbH, respectively.
Stefan Walter attended Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a diploma in Computer Science. During the same period, they also studied at FH Rosenheim and earned a diploma in Computer Science with a focus on Informatik. Furthermore, Stefan has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they became certified as a Projektleiter through Plaut Consulting. In 2018, they completed the Platform Design Toolkit Masterclass offered by Platform Design Toolkit. Most recently, in February 2020, Stefan obtained the AWS Professional Services: Cloud Advisory (Classroom) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
