Jay Knute

Jay Knute is a seasoned IT professional with over 15 years of experience in technical support and information systems management. Currently serving as a Regional IT Specialist at the Msha Department of Labor since January 2020, Jay previously held the position of IT professional at the University of Minnesota Duluth from September 2008 to January 2021, specializing in desktop support. Earlier experience includes roles as a Technician at Sisu Medical Solutions, working as the MIS Director, and a Journeyman Ironworker for Iron Workers Local 563 for nearly a decade. Jay also served in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Corporal, and started military service as a PFC in the US Army. Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota Duluth between 2004 and 2006, following education at Mesabi Range Community and Technical College from 1991 to 1992.
