Ray Cartwright

Ray Cartwright is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in safety and health within the mining industry. Currently serving as an MS&H Specialist and Conference Litigation Representative at the Msha Dept of Labor since January 2023, Ray previously held the position of Mine Specialist - Surface at MSHA from January 2007 to January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Freight Conductor at CSX from January 2004 to February 2007, Safety Director at Alliance Coal, LLC from 1998 to 2003, and Director of Safety and Health at Andalex Resources Inc from 1984 to 1998. Ray's educational background includes studies at the University of Kentucky and Madisonville Community College, as well as a degree from Madisonville North Hopkins High School. Ongoing education at Murray State University further enhances Ray's qualifications.
