Michelle Garay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program and event management, currently serving as Program Manager at B.E. Natural Brand and Events Manager for the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival since 2016. With a strong background in brand ambassador roles at various companies including Victory Marketing Agency and Inspira Marketing Group since 2013, as well as a long-standing position as Exhibit Interpreter at the Science Museum of Minnesota, Michelle combines event coordination skills with a deep understanding of audience engagement. Michelle holds dual degrees from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Independent Studies in Mexican-American Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and Intercultural Communications.

The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul is Minnesota’s leading exhibitor of international independent cinema. Our mission is to foster a knowledgeable and vibrant appreciation of the art of film and its power to inform and transform individuals and communities. The Film Society hosts screenings and events year-round at the St. Anthony Main Theatre, and presents the annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. The Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival is Minnesota's largest film festival, and a catalyst for artistic discovery and an essential Spring showcase of more than 250 new films from around the globe. Over 17 exhilarating days, the Twin Cities blossoms into an epicenter of cinematic achievement as 45,000 avid film fans converge for hundreds of packed screenings, unforgettable parties and illuminating conversations. MSPIFF’s lineup annually includes films from both intrepid new artists and influential luminaries alike hailing from more than 70 countries. The 36th Annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival will take place April 13-29, 2017.
