Deann O'Brien

Deann O'Brien serves as a DMV Board Member for the March of Dimes since January 2023 and has been the Director of Commercial Business Development at M&T Bank since October 2013, where the focus is on enhancing the Greater Washington Middle Market's sales development and fostering relationships with Centers of Influence. O'Brien has played a pivotal role in business development at M&T, aligning efforts with both Commercial and Business Banking teams to meet strategic goals. Previously, O'Brien worked as an Account Manager at the Washington Business Journal, managing over 200 accounts and creating tailored marketing initiatives, and excelled as a New Business Development & Marketing Representative at The Gazette Post-Newsweek Media, achieving significant revenue targets. Early career experience includes roles as a Guidance Counselor and educational facilitator within Montgomery County Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business from Shepherd University and a Master’s in Education from Bowie State University.
