Mt. Bethel Church
Betsy Brown has extensive experience in educational coordination and catechesis. Currently serving as the Course Coordinator and Assistant at the National Association of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd since January 2013, Betsy manages course registrations, fees, and certificates, while assisting with National Training Courses. In addition, Betsy coordinates the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program at Mt. Bethel UMC for over 125 children and engages in various Children's Ministry events within a large church community. Previous roles include Assistant Teacher at Casa Montessori from 1998 to 2002 and V.P. of Production and Manufacturing at several educational publishing companies from 1973 to 1991. Betsy is trained in all three levels of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mt. Bethel Church
Mt. Bethel has served our community for over 175 years. In the late 1870s, the original church structure at the intersection of what is now Richmond Hill and Charlsie Drive, moved to the corner of Lower Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry Road. Shortly after this move, the new church caught fire, but in no time the Mt. Bethel family rallied together and rebuilt their church stronger than ever. This original church building still exists, but we’ve evolved and expanded over the years. In 2016, our church grew to include two new campuses: Our North Campus, a family-centric community and worship environment located a few miles north of our Lower Roswell Road campus, and The Gathering, our church-within-a-church that offers a modern worship style. We look forward to the ways that God will continue to grow us in the future. Our local community is a significant part of our history, and we hope that you will make us part of yours.
