Derek Gibbs

Derek Gibbs has a diverse work experience in various finance and leadership roles. Derek is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Mt. Hood Meadows Resort since December 2022. Prior to their current role, Derek served as the Regional Finance Director for Northern California at Providence from February 2020 to June 2022. From July 2015 to February 2019, they worked as the Area Director of Finance/Operations Humboldt at Providence St. Joseph Health. Before that, Derek was the Director of Strategic Services at St. Joseph Health System from March 2011 to July 2015. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Fullerton in June 2014. Derek's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Revenue Management and Decision Support Services at Queen of Valley Medical Center from an unknown start date to 2011.

Derek Gibbs completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Mary's College of California from 1986 to 1990. Derek then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the Portland State University - School of Business, which they completed from 1993 to 1995. Later, they went on to obtain a Master of Health Administration degree in Healthcare from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 2008 to 2010.
