Paulo Perna

Paulo Perna is a data scientist with a strong background in machine learning and software development. Currently employed at MT2 Data since November 2024, Paulo focuses on Bayesian Inference for resource allocation. Previously, at Shape, from May 2023 to November 2024, Paulo developed and implemented machine learning models for predictive maintenance, emphasizing highly imbalanced time series data and various analytical techniques. At Libra Crédito, from November 2021 to May 2023, Paulo served as a machine learning developer, creating software for the Credit Analysis and Commercial team with features like OCR document reading and client dashboards. Paulo's experience also includes roles as a research assistant at LEPES/USP, where leadership of a four-person team was undertaken, and as a research intern at OBSCOOP/USP, focusing on data processing with R and PostgreSQL. Educational achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto and a completion of the Back-End C# & .Net program at Ada Tech in 2023.
