Reuben Opata

Reuben Opata has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry, starting with their current role as Chief Technical and Information Officer (CTIO) at MTN Cameroon since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as CTIO for MTN Guinea Conakry & MTN Guinea Bissau from March 2017 to October 2020.

Before joining MTN, Reuben worked at MTN Ghana, where they held various positions. Reuben was the Head of Network Planning, responsible for developing network planning and design strategies aligned with the business objectives from December 2015 to February 2017. Prior to this, they served as the RAN Planning Senior Manager from July 2011 to November 2015.

Reuben's career began with a graduate student internship at Agilent Technologies Deutschland GmbH from March 2004 to February 2005.

Reuben Opata earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi from 1997 to 2001. Reuben then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Telecommunication and Microelectronics, from Fachhochschule Darmstadt, Germany from 2002 to 2005.
