Charles Molapisi

Charles Molapisi is a seasoned executive in the telecommunications sector, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at MTN South Africa since January 2022. Prior to this, Charles held the position of Group Chief Technology and Information Officer at MTN from January 2019 to January 2022, and also served as a Non-Executive Director for MTN Nigeria in 2021. Charles’ leadership was recognized in 2018 when awarded the title of best performing CEO in the South East Africa including Ghana region. With extensive experience at various MTN subsidiaries and a background at Telkom SA and Liberty Life, Charles has consistently demonstrated expertise in strategic enablement, technology management, and governance. An accomplished academic, Charles holds multiple executive education credentials from prestigious institutions including INSEAD, Columbia Business School, and Harvard Business School, along with a Masters in Business Leadership from UNISA.
