Neil D Smith

Neil D Smith currently serves as the General Manager Projects (Lantau) at MTR Corporation Limited since October 2021. With extensive experience in engineering and project management, Neil held key roles at SP Group as Head Group Safety & Health and Director from 2012 to October 2021, and previously worked as Construction Manager at MTR Corporation Ltd. from February 2009 to December 2012, overseeing significant tunneling projects. Experience also includes positions as Programme Manager for Transport for London and Senior Civil Engineer at Mott MacDonald, where involvement in projects such as Crossrail and the Docklands Light Railway was significant. Neil's professional journey began at Hyder Consulting and progressed through various engineering roles, supported by a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Plymouth (1986-1990).
