Laura Pylvänäinen

Laura Pylvänäinen is an experienced journalist who has been working at MTV Oy since January 2019, primarily focusing on foreign reporting for television news. Prior to this role, Laura contributed to Ilta-Sanomat in various capacities, covering significant international events such as the Trump-Putin Summit and the Thai cave rescue. Laura also interned at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, gaining insight into diplomatic communication. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Jyväskylä, alongside exchange studies in International Relations. Laura's early career involved journalism positions at local newspapers and a summer internship at the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation.
