Pierre-Olivier Costa

Pierre-Olivier Costa serves as the President of Mucem - Musée des civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée since November 2022. Prior to this role, Costa worked as a Special Advisor to the President and Director of the Cabinet of Brigitte Macron at the Présidence de la République from May 2017 to November 2022. Costa was also Chief of Cabinet for Emmanuel Macron at En Marche from January 2017 to May 2017 and held several positions at the Mairie de Paris from May 2012 to January 2017, including Deputy Director of Information and Communication and Chief of Cabinet for both mayors. Experience further includes roles at the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), Centre Pompidou, and Réunion des Musées Nationaux - Grand Palais, with responsibilities ranging from institutional relations to acquisitions. Costa's academic background includes education at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University.
