Ashwin Surendran

Ashwin Surendran is an experienced network and security professional currently serving as Director and APAC Head of Network, Voice and Security at MUFG since December 2025. Prior to this role, Ashwin held the position of Deputy Director for Network Engineering & Operations at the Monetary Authority of Singapore from January 2022 to December 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing the architecture, deployment, and operations of essential network infrastructure. With a substantial background in global network and cloud engineering, Ashwin has also held leadership roles at Citi, DBS Bank, CME Group, and Barclays, accumulating expertise in network operations and engineering since beginning a career at Dimension Data in 2003. Ashwin holds an Engineer’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
