Makoto Kobayashi

Makoto Kobayashi is an experienced consultant currently serving as a Project Manager in the Clean Energy Finance Department of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities since October 2014. In this role, Makoto focuses on new business development strategies in developing countries, particularly in energy conservation, collaborating with governments in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. Significant projects include leading initiatives in Vietnam for a major LED manufacturer and the Japanese government, as well as spearheading the establishment of the first National Data Center in Laos. Prior to this, Makoto managed client relationships in investment banking, advised venture businesses, and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, along with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo.
