Susan D. Kalvaitis

Susan joined Mugar Enterprises, Inc., in 2002 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President in 2006. Susan has extensive experience in all areas of finance, including accounting operations, financial reporting and analysis, treasury, tax compliance , and tax planning strategies and administration. Susan directs, manages and develops an accounting and tax team to support all Mugar-related entities and investments. In addition, she is responsible for establishing and implementing all accounting policies and procedures and maintaining internal controls in a multi-entity environment.

Susan began her career in public accounting working at Laventhol & Horwath, CPAs, in Boston. Her industry experience includes professional services, real estate, non-profits, high-tech R & D, leasing and manufacturing. Susan also worked in various financial management positions at Arthur D. Little, Inc., a global consulting practice, and Cone, Inc., a strategic marketing and communications agency, before joining MEI.

Susan holds a BBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the Financial Executives Institute.
