With nearly five decades of experience at Mukand alone, Arvind Madhav Kulkarni has played a pivotal role in the Company’s transformation into the global conglomerate it is today.
An IIT Kharagpur graduate, Arvind joined Mukand in 1974 as a management trainee. From there, he has held various positions across company departments ranging from material management to purchasing & logistics, sales & marketing, and more. His inherent ability to flesh out efficiencies is why he was given the responsibility of domestic & export marketing of Stainless Steel and setting up Mukand’s international operations in the United Kingdom. Promoted to the Chief Executive Officer role in 2010, Arvind has played an invaluable role in bringing the Company where it is today.

Mukand Limited is a holding company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of alloy steel and stainless steel bars, rods, structurals and rails. The Company operates through the segments, including Specialty Steel, Power Generation, Industrial Machinery and Engineering Contracts and Others. Its products and services for Specialty Steel segment include billets, blooms, rounds, wire rods, bars, rods and sections, bright bars and wires of special and alloy steel and stainless steel. Its products and services for Industrial Machinery and Engineering Contracts segment include electric overhead traveling (EOT) and other cranes, steel structural, material handling equipment, and processing plant and equipment, among others. Its Others segment includes road construction, which comprises property development and income from operations of non-banking financial activities. Its plants are located at Dighe, Thane, Maharashtra, and Ginigera, Karnataka.
