Tami Garcia

Mully Lingua was founded by Tami Garcia who was raised disconnected from her Dominican and Jamaican heritage and not grounded in her identity; she vowed that she would raise her children differently. As the mother of a daughter from Ethiopia, Tami wants to ensure her daughter understands and appreciates the culture she was born into, the culture she is being raised in and has access to other language and cultural learning opportunities.

After many years of trying, she could not get her daughter into a bilingual school, nor was she satisfied with other available language learning options. She quickly discovered other parents had similar challenges, so she set out to create a fun, affordable and practical solution.
