Nyiko Shiburi

Nyiko has held a number of key positions at MultiChoice in the last 14 years, including Group GM of Broadcast Technology Division; Executive in the CEO’s Office and Chief Operating Officer of MultiChoice Africa Holdings (MAH)’s Southern Region. While in the Broadcast Technology Division, Nyiko was responsible for the rollout of GOtv MultiChoice’s digital terrestrial television service in Africa as well as decoder development.

Most recently Nyiko was the Regional Director for MAH Southern Africa, leading the business through its next growth phase in the following markets: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Nyiko was appointed CEO of MultiChoice SA in December 2020.

Nyiko holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Johannesburg alongside executive leadership programmes from INSEAD and MIT.
