Thomas Holtz

Thomas Holtz has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering as well as a post-Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering. His career with Multotec started in 1996 – giving him extensive experience within the company. Holtz began working at Multotec as a Project Manager; from there he moved onto Production Management in various business units within the company. After proving his natural leadership abilities, Holtz was promoted to Director in Multotec Manufacturing (in the screening division) before taking on the global CEO role.

In 2013, at the celebration of Multotec’s 40th anniversary, Holtz reflected that Multotec’s approach to business has remained focused on reducing the operating costs associated with mineral processing plants across all commodity sectors. Such a focused and disciplined approach has given Multotec extra stability and traction in both economic downturns and times of prosperity.

Holtz places customer-centricity and adding value at every turn at the centre of his business philosophy, stating that: “A successful team is made up of committed, diverse, high energy and astute individuals. The challenge is to keep the team together and functioning with a common purpose”.

Holtz has occupied the position of CEO since 2008 and aims to uphold his favourite quote “be the change you want to see in the world” in his work; and to inspire every member of the Multotec team, from technicians to managers, to do the same.

Multotec adopts a flexible approach to mineral processing, adapting their service offering as well as their equipment to clients’ exact specifications.
