Karen D Edwards Obe

Karen D Edwards OBE currently serves as a Board Trustee for Mummy's Star and holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Derian House Children's Hospice. With extensive experience in youth services, Karen Edwards was a Member and Chair of the Board of Trustees at Bolton Together from February 2014 to January 2023 and served as Chief Executive of Bolton Lads & Girls Club for nearly 27 years, overseeing significant youth development initiatives and managing substantial budgets. Additional roles include being a Trustee at Warrington Youth Club, a Freelance Associate Facilitator for The Leadership Trust, and a Trainer for Bolton Council. Educational credentials include an Executive Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management from the Chartered Management Institute and a degree in Youth & Community Work from The University of Manchester.
