Mayela Garza Lagüera

Mayela Garza Lagüera has a diverse and extensive work experience in various legal roles. Mayela is currently the Head of Legal at Mundi, where they oversee a team focused on AML/compliance, commercial, corporate, employment, IP, tax, and litigation matters. Mayela also partners with other departments to ensure legal compliance and improve efficiency. Prior to this, Mayela served as the Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Kocomo, where they handled corporate matters for multiple entities and advised on regulatory and privacy issues. Mayela also worked at Uber, holding roles such as Senior Counsel for Product & Commercial in Latin America, Safety & Litigation Counsel for Mexico, and Regulatory Counsel for Latin America. In these positions, they provided legal support, negotiated contracts, managed litigation, and ensured regulatory compliance. Mayela's earlier experience includes working as an Associate Counsel for M&A and Capital Markets at Ritch, Mueller, Heather y Nicolau, S.C., and as an Associate Counsel for Corporate, M&A, and Transactions at Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C.
