Sergio Avila

Sergio Avila has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Sergio is currently the Director of Engineering at Mundi since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Mercado Libre where they held the positions of Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager from August 2019 to September 2021. Before that, Sergio was the Director of IT at Havas Media Group from December 2016 to August 2019. Sergio also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Qubit TV and later became the Software Engineering Manager from March 2016 to December 2016. Additionally, Sergio worked as the Software Engineering Lead at Credencial from March 2012 to January 2014. Their early career roles include Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineering Lead at IPLAN, where they started in October 2002 and held various positions until January 2012. Overall, Sergio has held a range of leadership roles in software engineering and IT management throughout their career.

Sergio Avila obtained a degree in Information Technology as a Systems Engineer from Universidad Abierta Interamericana, where they studied from 2001 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Computing Technician studies in Information Technology at Instituto Técnico Maria Reina between 1995 and 2000.
