Shellye Pruitt has a strong background in attorney professional development and diversity, spanning over two decades. Shellye began their career as the Director, Attorney Training & Development at Kirkland & Ellis in 2002, where they played a key role in shaping the firm's attorney training programs until their departure in 2020. In 2020, they joined Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP as the Director of Attorney Development, where they collaborated with firm leaders and committees to support attorney performance, retention, and diversity-related efforts. Shellye'sexceptional leadership skills and expertise in attorney professional development led to their promotion in 2021 to the Senior Director of Development and Diversity at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. In this role, they managed and led teams in both attorney professional development and DEI, providing strategic advice and dynamic leadership to further the firm's DEI efforts.
Shellye Pruitt obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UCLA. Shellye later pursued further education and earned a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate in the field of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion from Cornell University's eCornell program in 2022.
