Barbara Langer

Barbara Langer is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry with extensive experience in underwriting and claims management. Currently serving as a Senior Cyber Underwriter at Munich Re since June 2018, Langer specializes in treaty and facultative underwriting of cyber risks for European markets. Previous roles at Munich Re from 2001 to 2018 include various underwriting and strategic positions, focusing on property treaties and claims for large corporates. Langer began the career as an Apprentice at Allianz Deutschland AG from 1998 to 2001. Langer holds multiple qualifications, including a Versicherungsbetriebswirtin (DVA) from DVA Deutsche Versicherungsakademie, a Fellow of the CII (FCII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute, and a Versicherungsfachwirt from Industrie und Handelskammer.
