Sophie Bachmair

Sophie Bachmair is a highly experienced hydrology expert currently serving as a Senior Corporate Underwriter and Consultant in Hydrological Risks at Munich Re since August 2016, where responsibilities include developing probabilistic flood models for risk assessment. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Hydrology, University of Freiburg, focusing on drought risk analysis from November 2013 to July 2016, and working as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst at Towers Watson in early 2013.
