Emma Southall

Emma Southall is an experienced underwriter with expertise in liability, real estate, and title insurance. Currently a Senior Underwriter in Corporate Liability at IAG since November 2021, Emma specializes in professional indemnity, directors and officers, and cyber liability. Previous roles include Senior Development Underwriter at Stewart Title, where responsibilities included underwriting residential and commercial real estate legal risk, and Commercial Underwriter at First Title Insurance plc, focusing on effective deal solutions for commercial real estate transactions. Emma's early career includes positions as Legal Counsel at Lightsource Renewable Energy Limited, where property law aspects of solar projects were managed, and as a Solicitor at Hamertons Lawyers Limited, with a diverse practice in commercial and residential property, among other areas. Emma holds an LLB in Law from The University of Waikato, earned between 2006 and 2009.
