Michael Overley

Michael Overley has over 18 years of experience in public sector benefits administration, currently serving as Regional Manager for the Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Michigan since August 2005. In this role, Michael builds and maintains relationships as the primary contact for a non-profit organization administering pension and retirement benefits across an 18-county region. Prior to this position, Michael worked as a Benefit Plan Advisor, assisting municipalities in structuring sustainable employee benefit plans. Earlier professional experience includes roles in consultancy at the School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan, administrative support at MedBill Corp., service technician at Secant Technologies, and payroll accountant at Benton Harbor Area Schools. Educational achievements include a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology from Western Michigan University, a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Michigan State University, and an Associate of Arts in General Business from Lake Michigan College.
