Brian Kozera has extensive experience in law enforcement and coaching. Currently serving as a Corporal and Patrolman at the Municipality of Norristown since February 2006, Brian has also worked as a School Resource Officer and is a certified member of the International Police Mountain Bicycle Association. In addition to law enforcement, Brian is an Endurance and Multi-sport Coach at AP Racing and the owner of Perseverance Endurance Coaching. Brian has held instructional roles at Montgomery County Community College and Temple University, and serves as a Triathlon Coach at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA. Brian holds a Master of Science in Public Safety Management/Homeland Security from Saint Joseph's University and a Bachelor of Arts from Albright College.

Municipality of Norristown
Norristown is governed by a Municipal Council which consists of seven members representing each of the voting districts in the Municipality. There are four districts and three at large seats. The Council directs the activities of the Municipality through the appointed Municipal Manager, who in turn supervises all departments. All council members serve four-year terms, and are eligible for reelection twice. On the first Monday of January in each even numbered year, the Municipal Council conducts a reorganization meeting where they elect a President and Vice President of Council. The Council meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. All members of council are part-time. The agenda is posted here 72 hours prior to the meeting.
