Nicholas Dumas has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as a Corporal and Police Officer at the Municipality of Norristown since February 2006. Prior to this role, Nicholas worked as a Police Officer with the New York City Police Department from December 2004 to February 2006, and also served as a Police Officer at Tullytown Borough Police Department from November 2001 to January 2005. Nicholas began their public service career as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Bucks County Rescue Squad from March 2003 to January 2005. Academically, Nicholas holds an MBA in Finance from Rider University (2010-2013), a BS in Accounting from the University of Phoenix (2005-2008), and an AA in Business Administration from Bucks County Community College (1998-2001).

Municipality of Norristown
Norristown is governed by a Municipal Council which consists of seven members representing each of the voting districts in the Municipality. There are four districts and three at large seats. The Council directs the activities of the Municipality through the appointed Municipal Manager, who in turn supervises all departments. All council members serve four-year terms, and are eligible for reelection twice. On the first Monday of January in each even numbered year, the Municipal Council conducts a reorganization meeting where they elect a President and Vice President of Council. The Council meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. All members of council are part-time. The agenda is posted here 72 hours prior to the meeting.
