Chris Istace

Chris Istace is a dedicated municipal representative currently serving as a Municipal Councillor for the Municipality of North Cowichan and as a Director on the Cowichan Valley Regional District Board of Directors. With a strong entrepreneurial background, Chris owns Mindful Explorer and co-owns Beyond The Usual, both focused on promoting an active lifestyle in the Cowichan Valley. Previous experience includes co-owning XS-iV Boardshop and holding various positions in sales and technical services, including a Sales Account Manager role with Canadian Advanced ESP and a Senior Field Service Technician position with GE Oil & Gas and Schlumberger. Chris has also served as a City Councillor for the City of Estevan and on the Board of Directors for the Estevan Chamber of Commerce, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of local government and community engagement. Academic credentials include a General Diploma from Medicine Hat College and Brooks Composite High.
