Brian Orter is an accomplished lighting design professional with extensive experience in the architectural and creative sectors. As the owner of Brian Orter Lighting Design since October 2008, Brian has led projects globally, including notable works such as the Pixel Tower in Bangkok and the Axel Hotel in New York City. Additionally, Brian serves as a PVC Airport Commissioner for the Municipality of Provincetown since June 2021. Previous roles include Partner and Senior Designer at Design One Corporation, Design Director at Johnson Light Studio, and New York Editor at Genre magazine. Brian's career in lighting design commenced as Lighting Design Director at Seckinger and Associates, focusing on hospitality projects worldwide. Brian holds a BFA in Theatrical Lighting Design from Purchase College, SUNY, and has studied at Parsons School of Design.
