Niamh Briggs has a diverse work experience in the field of rugby. Niamh started their career in 2008 as an Irish Rugby Player, representing the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) until 2018. During this time, they played a significant role in the team.
After their playing career, Niamh transitioned into coaching roles. In 2018, they joined UL Bohemian RFC as a Coach, focusing on Backline and Team Attack. Niamh worked with the club until May 2021, before moving to a higher position.
In 2021, Niamh became the Head Coach of UL Bohemian RFC. Niamh led the team in this role until their departure in September 2021. Following this, they joined Munster Rugby as a Senior Women's Coach, specifically in the Backline. Niamh continued to work in this role until September 2022.
In January 2022, Niamh also took on an additional coaching position with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) as the Women's Assistant Coach. Currently, they hold this position, contributing to the development of women's rugby in Ireland.
Niamh Briggs attended the University of Limerick from 2018 to 2019, where they studied Sports Psychology. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Waterford Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2008, focusing on Sports and Exercise.
