Director - LUMA Programs at MURAL

Gavin Pryke MA RCA has a diverse range of work experience. Gavin currently serves as the Director of LUMA Programs at Mural, where they oversee the creation and management of LUMA Programs globally. Prior to this role, they held various positions at LUMA Institute, including International Group Director for Client Partnerships in EMEA and APAC, as well as a LUMA Certified Instructor, Facilitator, and Practitioner. In these roles, they designed and delivered Design Thinking workshops and capability building programs across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and China.

Before their time at LUMA, Pryke worked as a Design Associate at the Design Council, where they consulted on Design Leadership programs for private businesses and public and third sector organizations. Gavin also contributed to the development and delivery of projects aimed at improving policy making for local and central government.

Earlier in their career, Pryke served as a Design Advisor and Programme Manager at Staffordshire University, where they led the implementation of the "Leading by Design" government initiative and managed the Design Council's Business Design Immersion Programme.

Pryke also has experience in the aviation industry, having worked as a Design Manager for Product and Service at Virgin Atlantic Airways. There, they led various initiatives related to new business class service and company branding.

Additionally, Pryke has worked as a Designer at Habitat, where they designed and manufactured new product lines and collections, and at SKK Lighting Consultancy, where they designed and managed architectural lighting commissions and organized product exhibitions.

Gavin Pryke MA RCA obtained their Master's degree in Design from the Royal College of Art from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts BA(Hons) in Design from Staffordshire University between 1988 and 1991. Their educational journey began with a foundation degree at Northbrook College of Design and Technology from 1987 to 1988. The specific field of study for their foundation degree is not provided.
