Kevin McKinley

Staff Software Engineer, Team Architect at MURAL

Kevin McKinley started their work experience at Business Solutions Group in 2004 as a Project Manager and Team Lead. Kevin was responsible for managing project workflow and recruiting and training new developers. In 2006, they joined Daverci Solutions as a Software Engineer, where they focused on pharmaceutical and medication management software. Kevin then moved to Aivea in 2008 as a Software Design Engineer, developing a reusable e-commerce service platform.

In 2010, Kevin joined IBM Lender Business Process Services as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the migration of applications to a managed file transfer system. Kevin also introduced CI builds and assembly versioning. Kevin then worked at WE Communications as a Senior Web Developer, Lead Software Engineer, and Tech Lead from 2010 to 2017. In these roles, they focused on microservice messaging architecture, high availability, and streamlining data access.

Kevin joined New Relic, Inc. in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer. Kevin later took on the role of Senior Software Engineer and Technical Product Manager, where they managed and improved the internal TeamStore product. Kevin also mentored new hires and completed the sales demo offering.

In 2020, Kevin joined The Standard as a Software Engineer, where they streamlined data validation and processing for insurance actuaries. Kevin also developed a CI/CD pipeline in Azure DevOps.

Currently, Kevin is working at MURAL as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Architect. Kevin'sresponsibilities include improving the search experience, decoupling dependencies, and managing content for users.

Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated expertise in various technologies such as .NET, Angular, Azure, Elasticsearch, and DevOps practices.

Kevin McKinley attended Oregon State University from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
