Rachel Smith has extensive experience in the field of child health and psychology, currently serving as a Research Manager at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute since June 2005, focusing on policy and equity within the Centre for Community Child Health. Additionally, Rachel holds positions as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and a Visiting Researcher at Deakin University, both since 2007 and 2018, respectively. As the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Communities That Care Ltd since January 2014, Rachel contributes to promoting community strategies for the healthy development of children and adolescents. Previously, Rachel worked as a School Psychologist for the Department of Education & Training in Victoria from 1998 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Master of Psychology in Child and Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both obtained from Monash University.
