Charles Roche is a Lecturer in Sustainable Development and Honorary Research Associate at Murdoch University since August 2014, also serving as an Academic Tutor in sustainability and development. As an Executive Director (Honorary) at the Mineral Policy Institute since November 2008, Charles manages an international organization focused on minimizing the negative impacts of the mineral cycle and enhancing environmental and social justice outcomes in the mining industry. Previous roles include Land Manager at the Yamatji Southern Regional Council and Coordinator at the Environment Centre Northern Territory, among other conservation positions. Charles holds a Ph.D. in Human Flourishing and Participatory Decision-Making in Indigenous Development from Murdoch University, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Industrial Relations.
